St. Louis Housing Authority welcomes Krista Peyton as new General Counsel
St. Louis, MO (June 7, 2018) – The St. Louis Housing Authority is pleased to welcome Krista S. Peyton as General Counsel. She is responsible for ensuring that the St. Louis Housing Authority functions in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, assisting in the formulation of policy for the public housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs and furnishing legal advice on a wide range of issues. She also oversees the selection, retention, and management of all outside counsel, assists the Human Resources Department in personnel matters, negotiates, drafts and reviews contracts, and handles a variety of real estate transactions. She has considerable litigation, administrative law and appellate practice experience. Immediately, prior to joining the St. Louis Housing Authority, Ms. Peyton represented the St. Louis County Juvenile Officer in all phases of juvenile delinquency and child protection matters. She has a Juris Doctorate from the Syracuse University College of Law and a Masters of Arts in Political Science from the Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs.
