Blumeyer Family Roof Replacement
The St. Louis Housing Authority (SLHA) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for the comprehensive roof replacement at Blumeyer Family, 3501 Franklin, St. Louis, MO 63106
The General Scope of Work for this project consists of, but, is not limited to the removal of the entire existing built-up roofing membrane system, roofing insulation, metal flashing, related wood blocking, and the installation of a new lightning protection system.
This Scope of Work includes the preparation of the existing concrete roof decking, new tapered insulation, new membrane roofing system, new metal flashing, related wood blocking, and installation of new miscellaneous mechanical equipment hoods.

The bid document non-refundable fee shall be $50.00 in the form of a cashier’s check or money order. Bid documents will be available for review and distribution after 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2009.
All bids will be publicly opened and read out loud. Bids received after the stated closing date and time will not be considered.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. (Local Time), Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Blumeyer. A site visit will be conducted immediately following the pre-bid conference so potential bidders can familiarize themselves with the existing site conditions. You may also schedule an addition site visit on Wednesdays from December 2 – December 18, 2009 at 10:00a.m. – 12:00p.m by contacting Moses Gayles at (314) 286-4329.
Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes on forms furnished by the Authority. The envelope shall be clearly marked “Bid Documents” and show the project name and solicitation number, name of the bidder and the date and time of the bid opening.
The SLHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in any bid, to advertise for new bids, or to proceed to do the work by other means, as may be determined to be in the best interest of the Authority.
The Authority intends to award to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder a fixed price contract for furnishing all materials, equipment, labor and supervision required to complete the work set out in this solicitation and the Contract Documents.
The work is to be funded by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the contract administered by the St. Louis Housing Authority. HUD reserves the right to approve the contractor selected by the Authority.
