SLHA ADOPTION OF CERTAIN HUD COVID-19 WAIVERS/Authorities (PHAs) in response to the COVID-19 national emergency.

Pursuant to the authority provided under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act (Public Law 116-136), the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued Notice PIH 2020-05, which waives and establishes alternative requirements for the Public Housing (PH) and Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Programs, among others.  These waivers provide administrative flexibilities and relief to public housing authorities (PHAs) in response to the COVID-19 national emergency.

Use of these waivers is at the discretion of PHAs.  However, HUD strongly encourages agencies to use any and all waivers and alternative requirements as necessary to keep PH and HCV programs operational to the extent practicable.

In accordance with the Notice PIH 2020-05, the St. Louis Housing Authority (SLHA) is making available the waivers adopted and the applicable effective dates. Below please find links to PIH Notice 2020-05 as well as a document detailing the waivers that SLHA has adopted.
