Karl Hughes

Mr. Hughes began his employment with the St. Louis Housing Authority in June 1996 as an intern. He has held several positions within the agency and is currently the Director of Information Technology, overseeing the Information Technology Department. This department provides technical support for over 150 end users throughout the agency.  As Director of Information Technology, Mr. Hughes is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining all computer-related technology for St. Louis Housing Authority and its many remote sites throughout the city of St. Louis. This includes all computers, software, licenses, cloud-based services, and communications equipment. He has conducted multiple hardware and software conversions and has led the department into the state-of-the-art virtualized environment it is today.  Mr. Hughes is a graduate of Lincoln University with a degree in Computer Information Systems. He has over 23 years of information technology experience.
